Hello @dmiller,

After this update, we are unable to see the data preview until the complete pipeline gets validated. Are there any settings to be changed to see the preview when the pipeline is still validating?

Thank you,
Sasank

A defect has been filed for this issue.

hi @dmiller,

after the update pipeline are staying in Prepared or Queued state and not getting executed. Reverted back to 4.17 patch 4 and works fine.

@jaybodra, have you submitted a ticket with Support?

Yes I have. Not a good progress on it. So passed it to our TAM

The SnapLogic August 2019 (4.18) release was deployed and has been GA on production since August 10th, 2019. We provide customers the flexibility to plan and update their Snaplex nodes in a 5 week window, accommodating their organization’s requirements the best. For the 4.18 release, customers have up until Saturday, September 14, 2019 (9:00 PM PT) to update their Snaplexes, after which SnapLogic will execute a forced update of all Snaplexes to the latest recommended version (currently master-5912 4.18 Patch 3).

The steps to apply this patch are available in our documentation:

  1. As an Org admin, log in to the SnapLogic Manager.
  2. Navigate to the Snaplex list in the Shared Project.
  3. Select a Snaplex and open the Update panel.
  4. In the Update panel, select the latest recommended patch from the Version drop-down, then click Update.
  5. Repeat the above procedure for each Snaplex you want to update.

Please contact us directly if you have questions about this update at support@snaplogic.com.

Thank you!

Looks like snaplogic released a patch 3 version a week before the deadline to upgrade the nodes. I would expect snaplogic to send a communication ahead of time(few days) like major release notification. Based on the email from Snaplogic patch3 version upgrade is recommended strongly by snaplogic but we don’t have enough time to check and make changes to regression test plan.

Another request is - UAT release package name is different than elastic.snaplogic.com release package name atleast for few days or a week . eg - snaplogic-sidekick-4.master-5771-x86_64.rpm

the UAT environment is package name is not updated the same day as elastic.snaplogic . as we deploy the packages in automated way, we had pass two different package name and later again update UAT package name in our automated deployment code process.
