MYSQL account - Connecting from groundplex nodes, but not from SnapLogic

I am trying to setup a MySQL Database account but receiving the below error while validating.

Failed to validate account: Failed to retrieve a database connection. Cause: Could not create connection to database server.

I am using groundplex nodes (AWS ec2) which is able to connect to the database successfully but when trying to access the database from SnapLogic it is throwing the above error. I have verified the credentials multiple times to be sure but no luck yet with the connection. Am I missing anything here.

Any suggestions?
