Email Snap

Hi All,

Is there a way to use the email snap without having to provide the password in the Account for the sender information

Thank You,
Sombit

@Sombit Yes, leave both the “Email ID” and “Password” fields empty in the account. Note that the SMTP server must allow anonymous access for this to work.

Rohith,
We only want to keep the password blank, while still having the Email ID
Thank You,

@Sombit Only configuring the Email ID field in the account isn’t valid, could you explain the use case for this? If you’re looking to use the Email ID to identify the sender, populate the From field in the Email Sender Snap.

Rohith,
Please see the attached document which the screen shot of the issue.

I see that you’re using Gmail as your SMTP server, which I don’t believe allows anonymous access. You will need a password for authentication without which the server won’t process requests.

I understand that the account administrator isn’t willing to share their password, you can create a Google App Password instead to use within SnapLogic: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833.

Also, the account settings reference Gmail but you mention an Outlook Administrator. These are different products, is this statement accurate?

< smtp.office365.com>
