Fetching input data after Pipeline failure

Is it possible to get the input data after a pipeline fails? I am not using an Error Pipeline as it is affecting the execution time. Are there any other solutions other than using error pipeline or error view?

there is no built in mechanism for this, only way is to store the data once you read it from source and write it to a file or a DB table
