How to stop the parent pipeline execution on first failure of the child pipeline?

Hi All,
I want to stop the processing of the parent pipeline when there is error in the any of the child pipeline.
Currently I am using error pipeline for error handling only in the parent pipeline below is the screenshot:

After executing the pipeline with error I could the child keeps executing error scenario multiple times.Below is screenshot for the dashboard.

Is there any way to stop the parent pipeline after the first error.Also you can see in the dashboard screenshot the error handling with the Reason: The root pipeline execution is no longer running.
Is this the expected behavior?If no how do I stop the processing of parent pipeline?
