Community: How Activity Summary Emails Work
What is an Activity Summary email? The “Activity Summary” is an email sent out to members of the SnapLogic Communitywho haven’t logged in within a specific period with a collection of the most popular content since their last visit. The email includes the following: Some activity statistics to emphasize activity levels A list of the most popular topics A selection of the most popular posts Links of topics that are “New for you” The Activity Summary is sent only when the member has not logged into the Community, or been sent an email from the Community in the last week. This email will continue to be sent out until the user logs in again (at which point the counter is rest) or until one year since the user last logged in (when the account is treated as abandoned). User Options Individual users have the ability to determine some of what is included and how often they receive it. A user can go to Preferences from the menu under their user icon in the upper right and do the following: Under Emails : change the mailing frequency uncheck the box to set the frequency to never to allow content from new users to be included1.2KViews0likes0CommentsCommunity: How we use tags
Tags are used in this platform to help supply keywords for searches and filters. We encourage the use of tags to capture the details of your topic, such as product area or specific Snaps. Did you know we have badges within the Community? It hasn’t always been the most obvious thing in this site, but we’re working to improve that. Badges serve as recognition for milestones individual contributors reach within the Community. To see the list of badges available, select Badges from the hamburger menu in the upper right. Click on the individual title to see how it’s achieved and who currently has that badge. Most came default with the platform, but we’re looking to expand this list. If you have ideas for badges, list them below. To see which badges you’ve earned, click on your avatar to get to your profile, then go to Badges tab. To highlight how awesome you all are to the Community, we added a plugin that displays certain badges next to your name in a post. Right now it is displaying First Year Top Contributors, Enthusiasts (visited 10 consecutive days), and New User of the Month (outstanding contributions in their first month). You can mouse over the icon to see what the badge is. The list will change over time as more are added and better icons replace existing one.1.9KViews0likes0Comments
