SnapLogic February 2020 (4.20) Release

Doesn’t seem like there has been much awareness about the Java8 to Java11 announcement. Will this upcoming 4.20 release still support Java8, or will customers need to have their existing groundplex nodes upgraded to Java11 by this next release, or is this just the first release where Java11 will start being the default for new groundplex installs?

Any idea when that will be? No way they can force folks to 11 in this 4.20 release, not enough communication/notice about it…

It looks like per the documentation that for 4.20, “Current Groundplex installations will continue to work with Java 8 until the Snaplex is reinstalled using the new installer… Support for Java 8 will be removed in the 4.21 release.”

The update to UAT is complete.

The production release is currently scheduled for deployment on Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at 9:00 PM PT / Sunday, February 9th at 5:00 AM GMT.

In the August 2020 release, we will no longer support Java 8. Please make note and ensure that you upgrade to Java 11 by then. Details can be found here.

We are pleased to announce that the SnapLogic Intelligent Integration Platform February (4.20) update to Production is now complete.

Please note that in the coming August 2020 release, we will no longer support Java 8. Please make note and ensure that you upgrade to Java 11 by then. Details can be found here.

The SnapLogic February 2020 (4.20) release was deployed and has been GA on production since February 8th, 2020. We provide customers the flexibility to plan and update their Snaplex nodes in a release window, accommodating their organization’s requirements the best. For the 4.20 release, customers have up until Saturday, March 21, 2020 (9:00 PM PT) to update their Snaplexes, after which SnapLogic will auto-update all Snaplexes to the latest recommended version. Snaplexes already on a 4.20 version will not be updated.

The steps to apply this patch are available in our documentation:

1. As an Org admin, log in to the SnapLogic Manager.
2. Navigate to the Snaplex list in the Shared Project.
3. Select a Snaplex and open the Update panel.
4. In the Update panel, select the latest recommended patch from the Version drop-down, then click Update.
5. Repeat the above procedure for each Snaplex you want to update.
