Hello Everyone, please I would have a question about XML and File Writer. I have a query like this : { "Invoice":{ "Name": "FAC-2027-00001" "Date": "2027-02-14" } } { "Invoice":{ "Name": "FAC-2027-00002" "Date": "2027-02-21" } } I would create an XML file for each Invoice, naming each file as "Name" column. XML Formatter snap output is binary, so I loose all information about column and I can't use an expression in File Writer snap. Please dou you have a solution on this ? Thank you.
Hi Giuseppe M., A common practice to preserve the file meta data for now for me is to create a child pipeline where you will handle the writing and parsing and in the parent pipeline in the original you will have the the file meta data.
Helllo Giuseppe M. I tested this and it works. The XML formatter output is binary, so file writer can't read $Invoice.Name any more. The fix is to move the formatter and the writer into a child piepline and pass the name as a parameter. 1.Child pipeline: XML formatter--> File writer. Add a pipeline parameter fname and set the file writer's file name expression to _fname +".xml". 2. Parent pipeline: Json generator --> pipeline Execute smap. Slecet the child piepline and dd the parameter fname = $invoice.Name. Leave "Reuse execution" off. with your sample data, i got on XML file per invoice, Your can riase the pool size in pipeline execute to process several invoices in parllel
