I think it would be great if we can have private replies in customer discussions. But it is too risky that way. What are your thoughts?

In thread may be risky, but you can PM them within the Community.
Click on the user name and click Message in the window that pops up.

Thanks Diane. But it should prompt an internal discussion too which is
visible internally only on the customer issue.
May be we can open a topic internally and use the reference to the
customers issue.
