SnapLogic November 2018 (4.15) Release

We are pleased to announce the November 2018 release (4.15) of the SnapLogic Enterprise Integration Cloud. The first deployment to UAT will take place on October 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM PT / 6:00 PM GMT. The release is currently scheduled for deployment to production on November 10, 2018 at 9:00 PM PT / November 11 at 5:00 AM GMT.

New! SnapLogic Data Science

  • ML Data Preparation Snap Pack: Perform preparatory operations on datasets such as data type transformation, data cleanup, sampling, shuffling and scaling
  • ML Core Snap Pack: Perform data modeling operations such as model training, cross-validation and model-based predictions
  • ML Analytics Snap Pack: Perform analytics operations such as data profiling

SnapLogic eXtreme Enhancements

  • Copy an eXtremeplex: Ability to reuse existing configuration while creating a new eXtremeplex
  • Schema Source Options: Ability to ingest schema via an inferred schema, a Hive Metastore or a manual entry
  • Spark SQL 2.x Snap Pack
    • Avro Formatter and Parser
    • JSON Formatter and Parser

Platform Enhancements

SnapLogic is introducing the following platform enhancements in the November 2018 release:

  • New! Visibility into SnapLogic API usage
  • New! High Availability option for Triggered Tasks
  • New! Metadata Catalog: To interact with the SnapLogic Metadata Catalog
    • Catalog Insert/Writer Snap: To write metadata about data sources
    • Catalog Query/Reader Snap: To read metadata from the Catalog
  • Enhancement! Open API generation in YAML or JSON formats

    • Snowflake Snap Pack: Support for additional operations

      • Snowflake - Multi Execute Snap
      • Snowflake - SCD2 Snap
    • Hadoop Snap Pack: Support for the zip file format in Kerberos enabled Hadoop environments

      • HDFS ZipFile Reader Snap
      • HDFS ZipFile Writer Snap
  • Enhanced Snaps

    • Anaplan Snap Pack: Upgraded to support Anaplan v2.0 APIs with Basic authentication and Certificate Authority (external certificate) authentication. Also, added a retry capability to handle connection timeouts
    • Snowflake Snap Pack: Enhanced to include performance optimizations to the Snowflake Bulk Upsert Snap
    • JMS Snap Pack: Certified and tested with HornetQ (JBoss version 6.4.19)
    • Hive Snap Pack: Certified and tested for Zookeeper support
    • Rest Snap Pack: Enhanced to support multiple file uploads
