SLDB vs SLFS - synonymous or not?

Are SLDB and SLFS synonymous? Or is there a distinction between the two?

From reading some of the documentation (glossary & FAQ) it does look like they’re used interchangeably.

The SLDB is a set of cloud services one of which is SLFS, but it hosts others as well.
