2021 Application Innovation Award Nomination: Snagajob: NetSuite to Salesforce integration

Karen
Former Employee

What were the underlying reasons or business implications for the need of application integrations? Describe the business and technical challenges the company was facing and how application integrations can help.

Snagajob initially used NetSuite for their ERP and CRM. However, the business teams outgrew NetSuite’s CRM functionalities and needed to migrate to Salesforce. In order to migrate data from NetSuite over to Salesforce, they needed a better alternative tool that can be bi-directional and can handle import, export and data mapping. They also needed to migrate off of their existing integration tool (Actian) because it was too complex and hard to use to build integrations. A simple integration would take ~60 days to build.

Describe your application innovation strategy and how you executed the strategy. Include details on how SnapLogic played a role in the strategy and execution, including Snaps and other SnapLogic products/features.

First, the data integration team prioritized the NetSuite to Salesforce migration so they can stand Salesforce up ready for the business team to use. After the NetSuite to Salesforce migration is done, they’d migrate all other existing integrations from their existing tool over to SnapLogic.

Eloqua, Salesforce, NetSuite, JDBC, JIRA, LDAP, MongoDB, MySQL, PostGresSQL, SQL Server, and Google Spreadsheet Snaps are used.

Who was and how were they involved in building out the solution? (Please include the # of FTEs, any partners or SnapLogic professional services who were involved on the implementation)

SnapLogic professional services team were first involved during the NetSuite to Salesforce migration.

There are now half a dozen FTEs using SnapLogic at Snagajob.

What were the business results after implementing these application integrations? Describe how your company, departments, and/or employees/customers benefit from the application integrations. Include any measurable metrics.

The data integration team was able to go live with Salesforce in less than two months.
